Barry lived in Beddgelert from 1985 until his death in 2013. Born in Coventry, he started walking and climbing in Snowdonia at the age of fifteen  He had two burning ambitions in life:-

A) never to become an adult and

B) never to have a “proper” job

He lived at Turnpike Cottage with his partner Anne, who claims he succeeded in both these aims.

He was a painter, woodworker, doll's house maker, enameller and professional folk singer. A man of many talents, whose work has travelled to Canada, New Zealand, America, Australia and Europe.

Visitors are always welcome at the studio, to discover Barry's work and enjoy a cuppa and a chat.
