I am currently painting landscapes that I know and love, and flowers in my garden using oil. I also make monotypes and monoprints of these subjects.
I gain inspiration from the landscapes of North Wales. Often water and sky act as a focus for my art. Both are changeable and intensify the sense of mystery found in quiet places. On a smaller scale, I love my garden, so flowers and nature are favourite subjects, especially for my monoprints.
I was born and brought up in Swansea, and spent a couple of years living elsewhere, until I returned to enjoy a more creative life in North Wales. After being a partner in a pottery business and completing a Foundation Course in Fine Art in Bangor University, I chose to pursue and focus on my own artistic interests and developing my own style. I have had five solo exhibitions and regularly take part in group exhibitions.
