Studied silversmithing & jewellery, painting & sculpture at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating1972.

I work across Fine and Applied Art in drawing and painting, design, jewellery and large scale metal and mixed media work. Taught and written applied / fine art undergraduate and postgraduate programs.

Landscape is my primary inspiration and man’s interaction with the land is a developing theme
2002 - produced a series of paintings in quarries and civil engineering sites in North Wales.

2013 - designed and made the Bardic Crown for the Denbigh National Eisteddfod . During the research I flew along the Vale of Clwyd in a light aircraft. The different perspective informed my study of the relationship of man to the land. The horizon-less, revelatory view offered engagement with imagery / marks created by man over multi-layered time periods. Reference is made to geology, engineering, agriculture, archaeology, spiritual and religious belief.
