Oil paintings which have their roots in landscape, various sizes and format. They tend to be expressive rather than strictly representational.
Photography from my exploration of North Wales and further afield.

Studied Fine art at Ravensbourne and the Slade schools of art, I then worked as a lecturer in various college art departments in the UK. During this time I continued to produce and exhibit my own work
I moved to North Wales in 2007 and enjoyed making the most of the local scenery on foot and bike.
Exploring the hills and summits of snowdonia has facilitated an instinctive visual response to the landscape on these journeys. When travelling through the hills and valleys new vistas invariably appear as the perspective changes.
Capturing a fragment of time - when the quality of light and view has altered suddenly - the sensation of being in an open space, sound, smell, vision, the often unpredictable weather!
The work I have been making recently is an attempt to express some of these experiences visually.
