Having worked in Wildlife Conservation for many years, l now focus on painting wildlife and landscapes, often on species that are declining or suffering loss of habitat. I work mostly in watercolours adding an array of natural fibres to enhance my work, but I also enjoy working with natural plant dyes, using plants from my cottage garden.
What to expect:
Come and visit to see a selection of my paintings and chat to me about how I work. As well as paintings and prints on display, there will be a natural dye pot on the go with regular demonstrations and an opportunity to enjoy cake and a cuppa!
The studio is open 14/15 and 21/22 September for Helfa Gelf and the additional weekend of 28/29 September (11.00am-4.00pm)
From the village crossroads follow Church Lane for approx 200yds, before turning left onto Cae Rhug Lane. Follow the lane up and look out for the Helfa Gelf Banners. Parking is to the front of the house as signed.
The studio is just a mile away from Loggerheads Country Park, so if you fancy a bite to eat before heading to other studios, the lovely Caffi Florence (within the park), is well worth a visit.
