As I develop as a potter my work continually evolves. Most of my pots are functional, typically bowls, cups, jugs and vases. I use both porcelain and stoneware clays and fire to high temperatures. I have tended to use simple gaze decoration but am increasingly developing more textured surfaces using splashed glazes and slips. Work has been exhibited in North Wales at the Mostyn Gallery, Plas Glyn Y Weddw, Theatre Cumru and Galeri Caernarfon and will be shown at International Ceramics Festival
What to expect:
My studio space contains kilns, pug mills for recycling clay and a potters wheel. I am happy to discuss the processes of making pottery and demonstrate throwing and you can have ago if its not too crowded. Tea, coffee and cake may also be available.
Denbigh, A543 past Morrisons turn left at the sign for Nantglyn (B4501) (approx 1mile0, turn right, sign for Nantglyn(3 miles). On entering village, right up a lane just before the bridge, approx 200yds behind council houses is the school.
Next to the school is village playground with climbing equipment and swings. Also picnic tables and a BBQ. The village church yard is famous for an ancient Yew with a pulpit. The Llindir pub is in Henllan. https://www.thellindirinn.com/
